Scenery     Nestling within a natural valley classified as an area of outstanding natural beauty one can rest assured that spending time at Badger Lake will be an uplifting experience whatever the weather & even if you happen to blank !

Security       A number of wardens have been appointed from within the local community, meaning that the pool and paddocks are under the constant and watchful eye of neighbours who have a vested interest in the well-being of the fishery . We have had no incidents of theft or rowdy behaviour in the last ten years - quite a comfort when you are night fishing alone.

Particular thanks to The Hannafins, Friends of The Lake. Paul & his vivacious daughter Georgie, who kept us amused, took some video footage of what she so aptly described as “The Mud-men”, and of course Dawn, who blessed us with some cold Stella’s, home-made cake and hot-tea at dinner-break.

SPECIAL THANKS have to be given, as usual to TOM SPEAKE our neighbouring farmer who took on an absolute beast of  a willow tree on the island. The 40 ft monster had fallen into the water a year ago, and the foe was eventually vanquished with the help of his trusty chain saw - spare muscle being provided by Chas & James Lowe who manned the punt for the duration, helping Tom, and spraying out lilies where requested
