Thanks to the Members & Wardens who attended the last working party . . .
Particular thanks to The Hannafins, friends of the lake. Paul & his vivacious daughter Georgie, who kept us amused, took some video footage of what she so aptly described as “The Mud-men”, and of course Dawn, who blessed us with some cold Stella’s, home-made cake and hot-tea at dinner-break.
SPECIAL THANKS have to be given, as usual to TOM SPEAKE our neighbouring farmer who took on an absolute beast of a willow tree on the island. The 40 ft monster fell into the water a year ago. The foe was eventually vanquished with the help of his trusty chain saw - spare muscle being provided by Chas & James Lowe who manned the punt for the duration, helping Tom, and spraying out lilies where requested
